In addition to the branches in London, Munich and Monaco, the company wants to open branches in a number of European capitals, Cristiano Carlutti, former member of the board of executives of Fiat told the business newspaper Handelsblatt. The US manufacturer of the electric Tesla Roadster sports car is also actively seeking to establish presences in Hamburg and Frankfurt.
In the medium term, Tesla hopes to sell as many electric cars in Europe as in the United States, where the company announced the sale of the 1000th Roadster last week. The company expects to introduce its second electric car, the Model S family car to the US market in the first quarter of 2012.
