367.717 MWp of new solar capacity were added in April 2013 in Germany, the Federal Network Agency informed. This is roughly the same amount as in April 2012, when 358.998 MWp of new solar capacity were built (04/2011: 198.948 MWp). Compared with March 2013 that saw additions of 290.470 MWp, the April data shows an increase of PV capacity, breaking a trend of five consecutive months of falling new capacity.
Based on the latest information published by BNetzA (please note that figures may be subsequently corrected upon new information without leading to a new publication of the monthly figures), the April 2013 capacity additions lead to the following table of German PV capacity eligible for financial support pursuant to the Renewable Energy Source Act (EEG).
